Facebook Chat Plug-in for Pidgin is so tight

Personally, I find facebook’s chat interface to be annoying and difficult to use. That said, the ability to chat with my facebook friends has come in handy a number of times. I just found a little plug-in for Pidgin that allows you to add your facebook account to the Pidgin chat client. Sweet! You can download it here.

the other cool thing about the plug-in is that when you have a new personal message on facebook, pidgin will show that your inbox has new items and you can link right to the new message… i thought that was pretty slick.

note: Remember that if you are on the new facebook, you have to change your settings on pidgin so the server is www.new.facebook.com… i had that problem at first.
